“
I had been skating on and off for over a year and although I had always hoped to be able to street-skate, I was lacking the confidence to do it. When Mark invited me to join one of his skates I decided to ask him to teach me.
My first skate from Albert Memorial to the Strand was much easier than I had imagined and it was such great fun! It really motivated me to carry on and I am now having regular lessons.
At the end of every single lesson I am invariably amazed at how Mark can get us do things which seemed impossibly difficult at first. Mark’s lessons have both improved my skating and increased my confidence!
I am enjoying skating more than ever and have made loads of friends on the way! If you have ever doubted whether you could skate, let me tell you: if anyone can get you skating then Mark can! I know that if you put yourself in Mark’s hands he will make you a great skater!
So what are you waiting for?”
“My husband and I decided to attended one of Mark’s group beginner sessions earlier this year. We were so impressed with his teaching skill and professionalism that we decided to embark upon private lessons. Within just a few sessions we we’re confidently up and about, and now a couple of months on are now whizzing around Hyde Park and just about to embark on our first Wednesday Skate.
We never would have thought we could do some of the things that we now can... but with Mark's years of experience, skill, patience and reassuring approach it seems anything is possible.
Mark is a fun and honest guy, and ensures that we’re safe at all times. I wouldn’t go anywhere else for a skate lesson! Whether you want to learn the basics or take your skating to the next level, I believe Mark will be able to help you and highly recommend his services.”
“ I decided to start skating last year to focus on something positive after some tragedies in my life. To say I am terrified of skating is an understatement but Mark has proven to be an amazing teacher and has this uncanny knack of taking your mind off the fear and building your confidence. He is by far the best instructor I have experienced and would recommend him with no question to any aspiring skaters out there. His cheeky sense of humour and dedication to YOU as a skater makes for a very special instructor.

“I never dreamt that after 3 lessons with Mark that I would be able to take to the streets and not wipe out completely! My first attempt at rollerblading involved hiring skates from the Club Blue Room Skate Shop at Marble Arch, rushing to the park, sitting on the grass to get kitted out -discovering that I could not get up.and asking a random passing man if he minded picking me up. He obliged, and I promptly fell over - took the blades off and went home
Lessons have made the world of difference. I have been on an absolute high since the skate!!!!! Thanks!!!! Cindy
Ps. From a medical point- Yay for skating! = Good cardiovascular fun out doors that works up a sweat, kills your glutes, and makes you happy for the rest of the week -it's got to be good!!!!”
“As a fabulous instructor, Mark, no doubt had the success of delivering me 100%, in relation to my profound hearing loss. He adapted very well according to my specific needs as his lessons were very well planned through out. A very enjoyable experience indeed!!!! ”
“Mark will shatter your attention with his dashing looks, naughty smile, and that twinkle in his eye, only to refocus you at exactly the right moment and make you do things on your skates you never thought you were capable of. A true genius. I learned more in a one to one lesson than two or three lessons in a group. Plus, you get to have him all to yourself.”

“Mark is both a talented and proficient skater and a highly competent instructor, and after many lessons with him I now consider him a great friend. The one day beginners to intermediate class in particular is an exceptional start for any aspiring skater, an ideal springboard to all the tricks and skills that Mark performs so deftly and had me conquering in no time. I am completely addicted to inline skating now and I only have Mark to blame! I've lost weight, feel fitter than I have in ages and the buzz I get from learning a new skill each week is second to none – thanks loads!”
“I took the one day beginners to intermediate class with Mark and Matthew. It was a small class with two instructors and great value with Mark teaching and Matthew demonstrating. I would recommend it to anyone really wanting to get started with street skating. Everyone learned a lot and improved and we covered all the important stuff. It was safe, fun and very well taught.”
“In my stop start attempts to skate over a period of years I have had a number of teachers. Mark stands head and shoulders above the rest. His instruction is clear and well thought out and each move is broken down into easy to understand parts. His enthusiasm for skating and teaching and his high level of expertise makes for a highly enjoyable and rewarding lesson!”
“I started inline skating as a mid-life challenge! Instructor Mark was excellent; supportive, patient and challenging as appropriate. I'm a GP and find skating a really good, non-impact, aerobic and co-ordination developing exercise. As an added bonus skaters generally are a friendly bunch and the various group skates are great fun and not too difficult after a few lessons.”
