Beginner to Improver skaters

Beginners to Intermediate Skate Course - Find your skate level!

Almost Everyone feels nervous and apprehensive when they first put on a pair of Rollerblade's. We specialise in putting you at ease and getting you skating quickly as well as having loads of fun at the same time!

If you are a beginner and can't stand up on your skates yet, if you can't stop, or if you are a more advanced skater and want to learn some cool stuff, you have come to the right place to learn from one of the UK's highest qualified ICP instructors.

 

Level 1 - Get starting and stopping on your skates

There's also something rather cool at the end of the lesson, but we'll tell you about that on the lesson...

We’ll also be focusing a lot on your safety because we believe that if you feel safe, you have fun and learn better

  • We’ll be taking a close look at safety
  • Moving forward
  • Heel brake stopping

Saturdays:   12 - 1pm.   £15 per person


Level 2 - Getting coolerBeginner to intermediate skate course

Once you've got the hang of starting and stopping it's time to do some even cooler skating. We’ll be doing turns, going little bit quicker, learning some stuff to set up up for even cooler stuff later and how to deal with getting on and off pavements on your skates.

  • Turning with A-Frame turns
  • Going a bit faster with stride 2
  • Swizzles / Lemons
  • Getting on and off pavements

Saturdays :  1.30 - 3pm.  £20 per person

 

Level 3 - Get ready for street wise

Now it’s time to move onto the really the cool stuff and get you ready to get out and about on your skates. After all, it's free London transport - forever!!! This is the stuff

  • Cool turns with parallel turns
  • Spin stops
  • Dealing with hill both up and down them
  • Dealing with rough surfaces

Sunday : 2 - 3.30pm. £20 per person

 

Pricing

Save £5. When you pay for all three sessions in advance, it’s just £50.

On top of that you can repeat any of the sessions later on for a special reduced price. At just £5 per session  -  it’s  an affordable way to keep your skills up to speed.

The Royal Albert Memorial

 

No need to book, just come along. As long as the ground is dry it will be taking place. Please make sure you are ready with your skates and protective equipment on by no later than 11.50am as people who arrive at 12pm will not be ready in time for the class and will not be able to attend.

You will, as with all of our lessons and courses need to make sure that you have knee, wrist and elbow pads as well as a helmet to attend this class. If you don't have all of these you can buy or rent them from The Club Blue Room skate shop at Marble Arch.
